Good News on Transportation

Get excited Atlanta! According to today’s Atlanta Journal-Constitution, transportation and city leaders aren’t waiting for April when the newly passed transportation taxes go into effect to start making improvements. In support of Atlanta’s growing economic and infrastructure development, they’re starting as soon as possible

Immediate plans are for additional MARTA bus service. Other initiatives include synchronized traffic signals, more bike paths, road and bridge improvements, and MARTA infill stops and light rail. Per the AJC, “Within the city, half a penny of sales tax will go to MARTA expansion, while four-tenths of a penny will pay for improvements to the Beltline and other transportation improvements.”
